Event: TZOUGANAKIS CONCERT for GREEK FIRE RELIEF
Michalis Tzouganakis and his group will bring multicultural, unique, music
messages in one performance. Born in Belgium, raised in Cretan culture,
homeland in Greece, has traveled extensively the world expressing his
feelings with lute, outi, sazi, boulgari, mandolin, cumbus, lyre and the
greatest instrument of all, his voice. On this event he will be accompanied
by Mihalis Tsitsikakis in lyre, Sotiris Kastanis guitar, Ioannis Voutsinas
bass, Philippos Gemelas keyboards, Nikos Galonakis percussion. Michalis
Tzouganakis has brought about important changes to the Cretan traditional
song, not only with his interpretation of songs but also with the contemporary
sounds he added. Without distorting the traditional element, he enriches it
and lends it a different musical dimension. More information on the
